Regarding Empowerment/Confidence Coaching:
Elysia is very organized. She’s always on time with zoom calls and checking in during the time. I had twice a week chat with her for about an hour, for which I was given tasks to make sure I would be prepared for my next session, and I must say that she always checked on me to see if I needed some extra support. She advised me to write what I was grateful for every morning for 20 minutes, do 20 minutes of exercise and take a cold shower; which I must admit, that you will wake up very fast and stay much more focused during the day! I have written on paper which allows the brain to get the information much clearer than typing on the computer!! 100% agree. I’ve written a list of what brings me joy - what I like about my life and what I don’t like about it. Understand my appreciation. I love working with her! Elysia is very positive and always lifts my value about myself and showed me how to get negative influence out of my life and be more assertive and literally appreciate myself!! I highly recommend her and would love to work with her again in the future. Kristina originally from the Czech Republic, living in the UK now for 18 years. (2020)
Doing life coaching with Ms. Buss was a life changing event as she coached me through analyzing how my lifestyle/choices impact my finances. With new found clarity and financial planning, I am now well on my way to buying my first house. She was so patient with my ramblings and suggested some routes that I had never even thought of. I am going to be living a lot more comfortably because she has my best interest when it comes to my financial and overall well being. I greatly appreciate the time that she took with me. Sincerely, Richard E. (2019)
Regarding Connection Coaching with Horses:
The story of how I came to find myself.
From the early start of 2013, I realized that something about myself felt off. Watching my friends grow and change, I felt like I was being left behind in emotions. The emotional states of pre-teens just seemed to get worse off for me. Everything really hit home when I had to go to the IPU. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. After that experience I really didn’t know how to cope with things anymore. This resulted in me going to a therapist for a long time. One place after another proved to barely help over the many years I went.
Finally I found an ideal place in late 2017, Silver Dawn Farms. When I was first taken there, it was supposed to be for a potential therapy alternative. Originally, I personally thought I couldn’t learn anymore about coping. Man, was I wrong! I met a wonderful person named Elysia. She runs an equine assisted coaching business called Global Equine Affiliates. On that day, I was supposed to meet and work with a horse named Babe, but the horse I connected with was a sweet, dorky horse named Liberty who unintentionally, changed my life.
After my first encounter, I couldn’t stop thinking about her! I instantly saw my entire way of thinking change for the better, and came every week at least once. My spirit seemed to become lighter and my pure happiness got so strong that my depression didn’t even exist anymore! Elysia helped teach me life/connection skills I didn’t think I needed!
Because of everything that happened at Global Equine Affiliates and Silver Dawn Farm, I have been able to find my way of coping with my anxiety and daily struggles. I now feel safer around people and everything around me. With my life now I am actually prouder of who I am. -L (2017)
Regarding equine assisted learning:
Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with Sophia and Renny these past few weeks. I've noticed some subtle changes in both girls, including a greater sense of awareness and focus in Renny and a firmer understanding of boundaries with Sophia. Both girls are beginning to experience firsthand, in a clear and direct way, how their actions and emotions can influence and effect the behavior of the horses. R and I teach the girls at home that we are all connected and what effects one of us actually effects us all, and the horses have an impressive way of bringing that truth to light. We look forward to learning and growing during the next few months, and in saying that I include myself, as watching you work with the girls and the horses, I am reminded of the importance in being grounded and staying present in each moment.
